Arrow Dervish Shoulder Pads - Link to Robes, not Hood

I'm just a wee bit disappointed that I can't hide my Dervish's hood without hiding his shoulder pads as well.... as without those shoulder-pads the robes just look like some sorta Amish dress.... but with the hood, one Dervish looks pretty much the same as the next. It almost makes me regret making my Dervish male...

In fact... I should have made a female Dervish in the first place.... but it is too late now. I can't be arsed to go through all of Istan all over again... and all that farming for collector gear... v_v;

[Random thought: Nobody working for A-Net ever really looks through this board, do they?]

Meh.... well I know this is futile, but I figured I had nothing to lose by suggesting it.
Non-Hood-Wearing Dervishes need some shoulderpad love too.

A.net employees do read these forums on a regular basis. Even the skill "Can't Touch This" came from a post on these very forums.

Although I agree with you (I like the shoulder pads), its a matter of personal tastes. That's just the way it is and I doubt a.net will change it just to please you. Not everybody can be happy with how every armor looks. Since your post is purely a matter of opinion, there is no way A.net would do this. Unless you could get proof that a large majority of the GW community agrees with you (like a few hundred thousands plus people, and with hard facts not just "a bunch of my guild mates agree" like half the suggestion posts on guru begin), then maybe a.net will do this.

If you don't feel passionately enough to get that kind of support, then maybe you should rethink demanding this.

You might not have noticed it Hawk .... but just about anything that could possibly be said on here is opinion-based....

Yet in this instance, I suspect you'd be very much right about nobody paying any attention to this as it isn't something mentioned very often.

I don't think you'd need several hundreds of thousands. I doubt there's that many active forum users here to begin with. A suggestions thread with several hundred posts would already be noted by Anet employees. Try to understand that your suggestion would only get entered into their database of suggestions and then probably ranked with a priority and grouped together with other similar-ish suggestions.

You can't expect them to take one look at your suggestion, then immediately decide to either queue up your suggestion for immediate implementation, or to forget about it. Look at the armor updates. It was asked for since Factions got released. And they finally got it in close to GW:EN.

But in all honesty, a minor thing like things rarely gets implemented. This will get more responses if you try to structure it around a "armor glitches" thread or something.

I agree, the hood should dangle behind the shoulders when you "hide" it.

Best example of this being stupid in current form: FOW males. With the hood off you look like a big homo fun boy.

I cant see it happening tho, Anet already has your money, why would they waste theirs reprograming hoods. The time to bring this to attention was a year ago in NF preview event....

It kind-of makes sense for the shoulder pads to go with the shirt rather than the hood, but....

/notsigned

because my female dervish looks really good in primeval armour with exposed shoulders.

ANet do read forums and do act on suggestions made on them. Extra storage is a good example. Admittedly it does take them a while to do some of them, and they do 'ignore' popular suggestions like auction house, but it's still worth making suggestions.
